Sarah and several of her children and their families moved to Burlingame, Kansas, 1884-1885. Shortly thereafter, Sarah died on August 22, 1885. Her daughter, Armenia "Arminty" Jones, died five weeks later of typhoid fever. Sarah is buried near her daughters, Arminty and Florence Virginia "Jennie" Swick, in an unmarked grave in Burlingame City Cemetery.
