Juanita Turner passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018. Service 2 p.m. Thursday June 14, at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Visitation: 1 p.m. prior to service. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park following the service. Juanita Turner was born Sept. 16, 1923, to Leslie E. and Elizabeth A. Stout Brooks in Decatur. She graduated from Lingleville High School where she lettered in basketball. Having worked in bookkeeping and credit management, she retired from the Fort Worth Bank Clearing House in 1987. Juanita was a devoted member of Polytechnic United Methodist Church where she served as youth director. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Richard M. "Pete" Turner, and her brothers, Leslie M. Brooks and H. Edward Brooks. Survived by son, Richard M. Turner Jr. and his wife, Sherri; sister, Edith Ady; grandchildren, Marcy Turner Moore and Shawn Turner and his wife, Christina; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Moore, Dylan Moore, Roylee Moore, Rylie Moore, Tristan Turner, Hannah Turner and Sadie Turner.
