Age 91. Jean was born February 9th, 1925 in Erie, PA. Jean graduated from Middletown High School in 1942. She retired to St. Petersburg, Florida but was a longtime resident of New Cumberland, PA. Mrs. Snell retired from the former Mechanicsburg Naval Depot in 1985 after serving some 29 years for the Federal Government. She worked as an inventory Management Specialist. Jean was an avid gardener and won various ribbons for her beautiful roses. She also loved to bowl and played in different tournaments. Jean also enjoyed watching her grandchildren and cheering on Penn State football. Jean was preceded in death by her spouse Samual R. Snell and parents Arnold and Emily (Shewan) Shepherd.
