Donald Luther Felts, 86, of North Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church on N.C. 115 in North Wilkesboro. Interment, with military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142, will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:45 until 11:45 a.m., prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. Felts was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Wilkes County to Luther W. and Belle Parks Felts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Carolina Business Machines. Mr. Felts was a lifelong member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church on N.C. 115 in North Wilkesboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Souther Felts; a sister, Rachel Gregory; and five brothers, Kermit Felts, Eugene Felts, David Felts, Johnny Felts and Leon Felts.
He is survived by a son, Keith Felts and wife, Mary Catherine, of Boone; a granddaughter, Kaitlin Prevost and husband, Tom, of Todd; two great-grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Ann Prevost and Thomas Whitener Prevost; two sisters, Virginia Burke of Winston-Salem and Evelyn Johnston of Union Grove; his sisters-in-law, Dare Felts and Betty Felts; a brother-in-law, Bobby Gregory; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, North Iredell Records, P.O.
