Norvin was born in Arnaudville, Louisiana, on March 3, 1925, he was the son of Alcee Noel and Edna Ivy Dekerlegand Noel. Norvin enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served in the Navy for 10 years and the Army Reserve for 11 years. Norvin loved traveling. He was a member of VFW in Port Arthur, Knights of Columbus and was an Usher at the church. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Odile Noel; parents, Alcee and Edna Noel; and numerous brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children, Don Christopher Noel of Bridge City, Denise Marie Myers and husband Wayne of Orange, Michael Gerard Noel and wife Jane of Spring, Mary Catherine Coleman and husband Scottie of Lumberton, and Greg Noel and wife Cerise of Bridge City; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
