Ex-Portland Girl Will Be Buried Here Tomorrow
Louise Lewis Once Student at Reed and Oregon Agricultural Colleges
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 o’clock in Finley’s chapel for Mrs. Louise Lewis Abbott, graduate of the Oregon Agricultural college and ex-resident of Portland, who died Wednesday at her home in Los Angeles. The body is being brought north.
Mrs. Abbott’s mother, Mrs. A. H. Lewis; a sister, Mrs. George W. Burt, 999 East Burnside street, and a brother, Glenn C. Lewis, 961 Kerby street, are the Portland relatives. The husband, Harold C. Abbott, is accompanying the body. A brother, Max C. Lewis, resides in Fish Trap, Mont.
Louise Lewis was born April 23, 1894, at Richards, Mo. The family moved to Portland in 1910 and Miss Lewis attended Jefferson high school, graduating in 1913. She was a student at Reed college for three years, taking classical studies. She went to Oregon Agricultural college in the fourth year to take commercial work and was graduated in 1918.
She was married to Harold Abbott in 1923 in Los Angeles, where they made their home.
