STRATFORD - Herb Folsom, 88, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, in Robertsdale, Ala. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Stratford with the Rev. Bob Sweeten, pastor of First Christian Church in Stratford, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mr. Folsom was born Oct. 30, 1912, in Amarillo, to Arthur & Dorris E Folsom. He had lived in Sherman County since 1929. He was a farmer. He was a member of First Christian Church in Stratford. He married Alfa R Altringer on July 5, 1936, in Clovis. She preceded him in death on April 3, 1994. Survivors include a son, Stanley Folsom of Dumas; a daughter, Carolyn Folsom Brierty of Gulf Shores, Ala.; a sister, Lorene Spurlock of Stratford; a brother, Arthur Folsom Jr. of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
