Richard Murray Moore, 49, was born on June 13, 1967, and entered into eternal rest on Feb. 15, 2017, in a hospice care facility in Baton Rouge, La., after a brief illness. Richard’s special life was spent surrounded by family and loved ones in Lake Charles, and Baton Rouge. Richard’s sweet heart touched everyone with whom he came in contact.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Mary Louise Johnston Moore and Billy H. Moore of Lake Charles; and his older brother, William Scott Moore Sr.
He is survived by his sister; nieces; his nephew; his cousins; his nephew; his great-nephews plus a host of other cousins and relatives.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Funeral service will be held at Hixson Funeral Home, 3001 Ryan St., Lake Charles, on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Katie Black will officiate. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
