Paris News 1916 AN OLD RESIDENT DIES IN HARMON COMMUNITY Mrs. E. A. McClure, an old resident of the southwest part of Lamar county, who lived between Harmon and Ben Franklin, died at her home Sunday night. She was about seventy years of age and had been in bad health for about a year. She was a widow, her husband having died several years ago, but she leaves a large number of sons and daughters. She was a sister of the late John A. Gose, a one time sheriff of the county, and of Steve Gose of Honey Grove. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Hickory Grove Cemetery south of Petty and was conducted by Rev. J. H. Ezell of Windom.

The deceased was a widow of Uncle Wesley McClure, who died a number of years ago., and was the mother of fourteen children., twelve of whom are still living and have families of their own. They were all present when she died. She was well thought of by her neighbors and friends and had been a member of the church since early childhood. Besides her twelve children she had eighty eight grandchildren.

She died 3 Dec 1916. Elizabeth was born in Wythville, Wythe County, Virginia. The daughter of George Robert and Mary Madgeline Elizabeth Kettering Gose.
