George Thomas Davis, (of Sugar Creek, MO, formerly of Mammoth Spring, AR) son of the late Joseph Howard Davis and Liddie Catherine Blaylock Davis, was born Aug. 21, 1902 at Columbia, TN, and departed this life April 24, 1986 at the Truman Medical Center West hospital in Kansas City, MO at the age of 83 years. He was united in marriage Oct. 27, 1921 at Many Islands, AR to Icy Alice Davis, who preceded him in death.
His parents, 3 sons, one daughter, 3 brothers and 2 sisters also preceded him in death.
He is survived by one son, Harry Davis of Sugar Creek, MO; 2 daughters, Lois McMullen of Pueblo, CO; and Alberta England of Mammoth Spring, AR; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ.
Funeral services were April 28, 1986 at the Carter Funeral Home chapel in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Clovis Ragsdale officiating. Internment was in Walker Cemetery at Hardy, AR, under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
