Alberta Dianna (Davis) England was born the daughter of George Thomas and Icy Alice Davis on July 21, 1925, at Many Islands, Arkansas, and departed this life June 13, 2014, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas, at the age of 88 years.

She was united in marriage on March 11, 1941, at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, to Harry England, who preceded her in death on September 22, 2007.

She is survived by three daughters, Larein Young, Laverne Risner and husband, James, and Lajune Romans, all of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; four grandsons, Harry Young and wife, Shelia, Marty Young and wife, Janet, Bryan Risner and wife, Niki, all of Mammoth Spring, and Brent Risner and wife, Erin of Thayer, Missouri; two granddaughters, Lanae Gaines and husband, Paul of Mammoth Spring, and Lanette Jordan and husband, Benjamin of Starkville, Mississippi; twenty-three great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Beulah England and Barbara Davis; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry England; one grandson, Bradley Allen Risner; two sons-in-law, Louis Young and Glen Dale Romans; four brothers, Dewey, Willard, Harry and Jimmy Davis; and two sisters, Lola McMullin and Dorothy Rogers.

Alberta was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and embroidery work. Her favorite pastime was sharing her hand-made quilts with her family.

She had been a Christian for sixty-five years, and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished all the times she spent with her loving family. She will truly be missed by all.

Funeral services for Mrs. England will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri, with Brother Charles Morgan officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Carter Funeral Home in Thayer on Saturday evening, June 14th, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Burial will be at the England Cemetery near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
