Funeral services for Thomas Blitch, 78, will be held at 10 am Tuesday in the Church of the Immaculate Conception with Father O'Reily officiating. Burial will be in St, Mary's Cemetery under the direction of Giddens Funeral Home, 116 Riverside Ave. Mr, Blitch, of 402 E. Duval St, died Sunday at the residence following a brief illness. A native of Younges Island, SC he came to Jacksonville 50(?) years ago. He was Chief Operator for Western Union for many years and following his retirement was associated with the Jacksonville Journal in advertising when he retired a few years ago. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Cathholic Church. Survivors include 2 sisters, Mrs. J. C. Rogers of Miami, and Mrs. B. C. Bellwager of Charleston SC.

He was buried in St Mary's Section of Evergreen Cemetery on 1 Apr 1958. Section 6 Block 1 Lot 1 Grave 171
