Emil Brunn died at the age of 9m 78yrs from carcoma of colon. He was married to Josephine Young 22 Jun 1889 Mills Lake, Jefferson, Wis, they were the parents of Oscar, Walter and Bernice. The children were born in what became the dining room after the home was enlarged. In the late 1920's Emil built a home in Mellette, for himnself and Josephine, the homestead went to son Oscar. Emil continued working in Mellette as the manager of a feed mill. He was the son of Louis and Paulina Grunert Brunn.
