Norma “Jean” (Webb) Kemp

On Saturday, May 20, 2017, Jean Kemp of Denison, Texas put her lipstick on and set forth to see what shopping is like at her final destination. Outgoing and caring, there will be no shortage of friends and family to shop and visit with when she gets there. For her loved ones left behind, we get to remember the good times, laugh at the things she used to do and cry because she will, most certainly, be missed.

She came into this world ready to see it all on a hot August day in Fitzhugh, Oklahoma, the youngest child of William J. Webb, Sr. and Mary Jessie Killian. In 1943 after losing her dad, the family moved to Farmersville, Texas where she graduated from Farmersville High School. She spent her entire life on the go and looking good while doing it. She remained close to her family and was a good friend to anyone who needed one. She unfortunately left us, like she drove…way too fast.

Painting, traveling, shopping and socializing with her friends and family were some of her interests. Finding the best bargains and keeping the roads hot made her happy. She loved dogs and although she didn’t have one, she liked caring for her friend’s pets. She always said she got so attached to a pet that she couldn’t stand the thought of losing it.

She loved her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were so special to her and wanting the best for them was her dream.

Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and David Sinderson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, grandchildren David Saulters (Debra) of Sherman, Texas and Shelby Adams (James) of Peyton, Colorado, great-grandchildren Damian, Lane, Colton, Kyle and Alexus. She is also survived by her brother Bill Webb of Van Alstyne, Texas, nieces Holly Carter (Danny), Christi Mahon (John), nephews Ron Webb and Kenny Webb (Andrea), five great nephews, two great nieces, and four great-great nieces, many cousins and her good friends Vicky Carlson, Dolly Caraway, Peggy Strong and Nancy Webb.

For those of us left here to remember her, we can take comfort in knowing that when we get to that final destination, she will be standing there with open arms ready to tell us all the best places to go.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at American Funeral Service, 4312 W. Crawford St., Denison, Texas. Rev. Joan Gaines, Jean’s cousin, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to The Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity or a charity of your choice.
