Carolyn Frances Davis Ellis, 92 passed peacefully on May 28, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday June 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Levelland with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8PM on Thursday May 31, 2018 at Krestridge Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Scottish Rite Hospital or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Organization.

Carolyn was born February 11, 1926 in Weatherford, Texas to Henry and Rhoda Smith Davis. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Levelland. She began her career in Fort Worth Texas after attending Business College. She worked for Swift and Company in the Fort Worth Stockyards before taking a position at the Weatherford Courthouse. While working at Fort Walters Air Force Base in Mineral Wells, Texas she met her husband Henry Ellis and later moved to West Texas. After a few years living in Lubbock, she and Henry moved to Levelland. Carolyn worked as a Secretary for the Commander at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock for more than 30 years and was a long-time resident of Levelland for more than 60 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Sonshine Choir in Levelland and loved to travel and play the piano.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ellis, a son, Larry Ellis, her parents; and siblings, Betty Berkley, Freida Hoel, Pat Plowman, Dale Davis, Wendolyn Stroud and Donald Davis.

She is survived by her children; Karen McInturff of Levelland, Gary Ellis of Dallas; sister, Mary Anderson
of Rockford, Illinois; grandchildren, Dusty (Sherry), Misty (Michael) and Wendy (Diamond); great grandchildren, Kevin, Anthony, Penelope, Ale'xus, Ashanti, Azabria, Atre'u and Henry; and extended family.

The family wishes to express thanks and gratitude to the staff at Interim Hospice for giving such wonderful compassionate care to Carolyn.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Krestridge Funeral Home.
