Wendolyn "Grammie" Stroud, 87, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at a Weatherford care center. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Galbreaith-Pickard. Memorials: or , North Central Texas, 2630 West Freeway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Wendolyn was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Weatherford to Henry and Rhoda Smith Davis. She was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church serving on the board and volunteering in every way. Wendolyn received an award from the church for being the oldest living member. Mrs. Stroud was a secretary and later vice president of Mutual Building and Loan. She worked for them for over 40 years. Wendolyn went to work as a secretary for Borden and Westhoff Law Office for 13 years and owned Gramtiques in Weatherford. She was also a member of Business and Professional Women Organization. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Betty Berkley, Frieda Hoel, Pat Plowman and Dale Davis. Survivors: Husband of 67 years, E.A. Stroud; daughter, Cynthia Stroud Pigg and husband, Bobby; son, David Stroud; grandson, Robert Casey Stroud and wife, Emily; great-grandchildren, Avery and Graham Stroud; siblings, Carolyn Ellis, Don Davis and wife, Patsy, and Mary Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.
