Gladys R. Bartholomew, 85, died Tuesday at Whispering Pines Nursing Home.
A lifelong Valparaiso resident, she was born April 24, 1897, the daughter of William and Anna (Anderson) Ritz and on May 26, 1928 married Harold Ward "Buck" Bartholomew who died in 1979.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Social Circle of Presbyterian Churches, Mary Crosby Circle, Porter County Council of Churchwomen United and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Harold, and a brother, Robert, both of Valparaiso, and two grandchildren.
Services 3 p.m. Friday at Bartholomew Funeral Home; Dr. E. Allen Campbell officiating; burial Graceland Cemetery; visitation 1:30 p.m. Friday until time of services; memorials to Whispering Pines.
