BENJAMIN UDELHOFEN
Benjamin Udelhofen died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Guy Wellmann, 2805 Central avenue, Tuesday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock.
The funeral will be held Friday morning from the Wellmann residence to St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
Mr. Udelhofen was born in Dubuque county Feb. 22, 1858 and had always resided in this community. He is survived by five sons, Benjamin, Jr., Joseph, Albert and William, all of this city, Sylvester, Ft. Des Moines, two daughters Mesdames Wellmann and Lester Foell, this city, two brothers, Theodore and Joseph Udelhofen, Chicago, three sisters, Mesdames Charles Essmann, Christ Raab and Frank Theiring, Dubuque, and eighteen grandchidlren.
Mr. Udelhofen was a devout Catholic, a member of St. Mary's church and was comforted in his last hour by the rites of that religion.
