Mrs. Bordelon was born in Shreveport, La. on January 1, 1929, being the first New Year baby of that year. She was a lifelong resident of Shreveport and spend 19 years as a legal secretary. Mrs. Bordelon was a charter member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, performing many roles at the church including, serving several terms on the pastoral/finance council, secretarial work for the church parish and council. She headed up the fund raising/building committee for Gabriel Hall and assisted in preparing the Constitution for Sacred Heart Catholic Chruch.
Mrs. Bordelon was honored by receiving the Diocesan Medal of Honor Award and continued to volunteer her time and talents in the church. Her passion was the game of Bridge, which she enjoyed for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter and two grandchildren, Josh and Magen Tucker. She was a wonderful mother, a devoted friend, who always made time to help anyone in need and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
