Jack L. Allison, 71

Sarasota, Fla. -- Jack L. Allison, 71, of Antibes Street died at 1 p.m. Monday, March 25, 1996, at the Doctor's Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Chester May 16, 1924, a son of the late Floyd and Edna Lane Allison. He lived in Pittsburgh 20 years before moving to Sarasota in 1992. He was employed as a controller 15 years at the American Thermal Plastics in Pittsburgh before retirement. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1950. A Mason, he was a past president of the East Liverpool Rotary Club, and was a member of the Chester First United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign War Post 6450 of Chester and the National Institute of Accountants. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie J. Stackhouse Allison, whom he married May 30, 1948; two sons, Jack L. Allison of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Tim G. Allison of Philadelphia, Pa.; a brother, Floyd Allison of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Allison. The Rev. Sherman G. Davidson will conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Chester church. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dawson Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
