He was born on November 20, 1942 in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
He attended Cheyenne Central High School and graduated in 1961. He went on to become a barber, opening his own business and retired after working 40 years. Tom spent over 40 years volunteering during Cheyenne Frontier Days and held every office in the Heels organization. He loved playing golf and did so every chance he got. He also enjoyed watching the Wyoming Cowboys play basketball and football and would travel to Laramie often to see them play. His true loves were his wife Alfrieda, daughter Tracey, son-in-law Brian and his grandchildren, Lily and Tommy.
Tom is survived by his wife, Alfrieda Gonzales of Cheyenne; daughter, Tracey Sutton (Brian) and their two children Lily and Tommy of Erie, Colorado; two sisters, Sophie Jacoby (Richard) of Cheyenne and Cecelia Garcia (Silver) of Roswell, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eligio and Andrellita Gonzales; and his siblings, Aurora Montoya, Mela Gonzales, Ernie Gonzales, Procopio Gonzales, Louise Maloof, and Mary Candelaria.
