A Card of Thanks
We take this opportunity of tendering to our many friends our heartfelt thanks for their kindness to us during the long illness and death of our little one. John and Lenny Gideon
AND
Gideon, ? Jun 1901 - 29 Jul 1902 Christian County Republican 7 Aug 1902
Died, the infant son of John and Lanney Gideon July 29th, at the age of thirteen months and was laid to rest in the Highlandville cemetery to await the final resurrection morning. We can say to the father and mother it is not dead by asleep in Christ. “It is gone from you, but Christ says ‘Suffer the little children to come to me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven. We can say to the friends of the little one, it cannot come to you, but you can go to it and to father and mother you can meet you little one beyond this vale of tears where there will be no more parting, no more sickness, pain or death, but all will be joy and peace with the loved ones of God. You must look forward to the time when you can come to meet it again. A Friend.
