Helen Wilson Walkingshaw passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018.

Helen was born July 23, 1924 in New York to William Hugh Wilson and Rose Massot.

She married Darrell DeSpain (divorced). She became the loving wife of Clarence Reed Walkingshaw on May 5, 1951 in Elko, Nevada.

Helen was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She has many grandchildren, who love her dearly. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, bowling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survived by her children, Richard DeSpain, Peggy Long (Dennis), Patti Tanner (Stephen), Janet Hensley (Al), and Linda Sorensen (Michael). Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; daughter, JoAnn DeMie; and daughter-in-law, Charlene DeSpain.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the Mount Olivet Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South.
