Norma J. Skidmore, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 28, 2018, at Elmwood at the Shawhan, after nine years of residency.

She was born March 9, 1935, in Byhalia, to Gerald and Kathryn (Cooper) Summers. She married James C. Skidmore Jr. Oct. 5, 1957, after meeting him at a square dance while he was on leave.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (John) Kuhn of Tiffin and Jennifer (Robert) Honaker of Pickerington; a son, James C. (Jenna) Skidmore III of Tiffin; a sister, Phyllis Snyder of Ney; five grandchildren, Brett (Katie) Kuhn, Bryce (Morgan) Kuhn, Braden Kuhn, James C. Skidmore IV and Katie Honaker; and two great-grandchildren, Soucie Kuhn and Gier Kuhn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James C Skidmore Jr.; and a sister, Marilyn Cooley.

She graduated from Byhalia High School, Byhalia. She was member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, where she was a Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. In 1972, she moved to Tiffin from Bellefontaine and worked at Sears and Roebuck in Tiffin. Most of all, she enjoyed being a loving mother and grandmother.
