Lived her entire life in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, the majority of the time in the family home at 3021 Memphis street. After WWII she shared the home with her mother, divorced brother Daniel and his son. Disagreement between brother and sister lead to her brother leaving the home around 1960. A number of times she would schedule a visit with her younger sister only to never show up or call to cancel the visit.
Later in life she became increasingly self isolated and due to age and health issues, the Memphis street home fell into a state of disrepair. Margaret never married, a very private person who refused to have her photograph taken. Margaret worked as a clerk at the Curtis Publishing Company most of her life and from where she retired. Unable to care for her increasingly serious medical condition at home, she past away at the Sacred Heart Free Home for Incurable Cancer of stage IV breast cancer.
