One of seven children, she was the daughter of Daniel J Egan and Margaret Cecilia Doherty. Married Bernard F Barron on June 8, 1904 at St Anne's Church. They had 4 children Margaret (1905 stillbirth), Margaret Mary (1906), Daniel Joseph (1908) and Bernadette Marie (1909) . In 1913 at the age of 39 Mary lost her husband Bernard as the result of a work related accident. She was left to provide for and raise her three orphan children. Lived her entire life in Kensington in homes on Chatham and Memphis streets.
