Henry Clay Deckard, 52, of 4350 Manners Rd., Lebanon, Tenn., died Oct. 15, 2002, at his home.
He was a plumber.
Born in Monroe County on Nov. 17, 1949, he was a son of the late Jesse Ralph and Ruth Elizabeth (Allen) Deckard.
Survivors include a son, Jesse Cole Deckard, Lawrenceville, Ga.; four brothers — Bobby Joe Deckard, Gamaliel; Roger Dale Deckard, Tompkinsville; Cass Frank Deckard, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; and Calvin Billy Deckard, Lebanon; four sisters — Betty June Crosby, Sarasota, Fla.; Jean Miller, Tompkinsville; Patty Smith, Red Boiling Springs; and Pamela Jo Smith, Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Kenny "Sain Digger" Deckard, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Oct. 18, at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with Bro. Gerald Watt officiating. Burial was at the Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Serving as pallbearers were: Daniel Smith, Jesse and Eddie Wooster, Brian Copas, Kevin Deckard, and Josh Smith. Honorary pallbearers were: Jim Jenkins, Randall Lail, Clint Lindsey, Dennis Davenport and Bustee Haney.
