She was born Nov. 5, 1958, in Sedalia, a daughter of William K. and Grace Ann Lane Leicher. On April 22, 1978, she was married to Chris Deuel, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Deuel was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Sedalia. She worked for West Rope and Associates in Kansas City.
Also surviving are a son, Bryan Deuel, of Lenexa, Kan.; a daughter, Jaime Deuel, of Excelsior Springs; her parents, of Sedalia; a sister, Pam Schultz, of Sedalia; and a brother, Lyndon Leicher, of Blue Springs.
She was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Leicher.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Craig Bowen officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Farris, Brent Farris, Bill Deuel, Jr., Derrick Deuel, Gary Hughes and John Sullivan. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Saturday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time.
Another visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
