Mrs. Susie Crull, 87, of Minford Rt. 1, a pioneer resident of Scioto County, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home on Route 139.
The Crull farm homestead where Mrs. Crull resided is a landmark in the Minford area.
Though Mrs. Crull had been in failing health for three years, death came unexpectedly and was attributed to a heart attack.
Mrs. Crull was born March 30, 1869, in Madison Township, a daughter of Nimrod Bennett and Susan Shaner Bennett.
She was married March 30, 1893, to Charles W. Crull, who died in 1929.
Mrs. Crull was a member of the Grange at Minford.
She is survived by two grandsons, Charles Chandler, of Minford Rt. 1, and James Chandler, of Lucasville Rt. 2; two granddaughters, Mrs. Odetta Wymer and Miss Ruth Chandler, both of Minford Rt. 1; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Crull was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her only daughter, Iva Chandler, who died in 1954; two brothers, three sisters and three half-brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the residence, with Rev. Clarence Caulley and Rev. Howard Preston officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery under direction of Erwin Dodson Funeral Home. Friends may call at the resident after 7 tonight.
