Louis C. Gothier Called by Death
After a lingering illness of several weeks, Mr. Louis C. Gothier passed away at the family home in Flandreau last Thursday evening, December 24.

His death was due to a complication of diseases and his demise had been hourly expected by relatives and friends for several days.

Louis C. Gothier was born in Apple River., 1864, being 61 years of age. He came to this county in 1918 and has been engaged in farming here since that time. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife and eleven children.

The children are: Ernest Joe, Gerald, Mrs. Roy Armstrong and Mrs. Howard Rice, all living at or near Flandreau; Paul, Louis Jr, Mrs. Juluius Grivold, Mrs. Joe Bergman, of Hartington, Neb., and Mrs. Matt Redl of Newcastle, Neb.

The deceased was a good husband and father and a man of fine character, and won the respect and admiration of all his acquaintences.

The funeral was held from the Catholic church in Flandreau, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock and interment made in the Catholic cemetery.
