Born in Gills Creek, Lancaster County although obituary says Kings Mountain, NC. That is where she lived after she married and where her children were born.

Mable L. Brooks, 86 of Lexington, wife of the late Clinton Eugene Brooks passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018. She was born on August 10, 1931 in Kings Mountain, NC to the late Bryce and Bessie Medlin. She retired from Reynolds Uniform Company and attended Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.

Mable is survived by, a son James Brooks (Louise); son in law, Terry Hudson; four grandchildren, Christopher Hudson (Corley), Scott Hudson, Marie Storey and William Brooks; and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mable was predeceased by her daughter, Jan Hudson; three sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens.
