Tad Poland, Age 38, Dies at Rayville

Tad Poland, age 38, died at Rayville Saturday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. Winnie Elliot. Mr. Poland made his home in Oak Grove, but is survived by relatives living in Franklin parish. Mr. Poland had been confined to bed several weeks before his death. Interment was made Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Harris cemetery at Lone Pine, with the Methodist pastor of Rayville officiating.

Mr. Poland is survived by his wife, Eunie Poland; two sons Lenard and Buddy; and three daughters, Louise Poland of Oak Grove, and Wennona Poland, and Mrs. Lois Carlisle and daughter of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by three brothers, Ben and String Poland of Winnsboro and R.C. Poland of Oak Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Elliott of Rayville and Mrs. Correy Hughes of Delhi and a number of nieces and nephews.

Emmett made his home in Oak Grove,LA.
