Funeral services for Joseph Ben Poland of Lone Pine community were held at Lone Pine Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Revs. Sardis Bever and Fred Keyes officiated. A retired farmer, Mr. Poland was born January 29, 1884 in this state, and died Saturday at Monroe. He was a member of Lone Pine Baptist church. Interment was in Harris cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Neva Poland; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Hayes, Delhi, and Mrs. Winnie Elliot, Oak Grove; and a brother, R. C. Poland, Oak Grove.

Pallbearers were deacons of Lone Pine Baptist church, Julian Russell, Med Elkins, W. H. Houston, Denson Bradley, Coleman Killian and N. G. Lee.
