Funeral services for Billy “Bobby” Ray, 75, of Barnwell, SC will be held two o’clock p.m., Monday, April 16, 2018 at Reach Out Ministries with the Reverend Don McCormick officiating; burial will be in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Reach Out Ministries. Memorial contributions may be given to Reach Out Ministries, 1590 Dove Rd., Barnwell, SC 29812. Bobby passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
Born in Barnwell County, SC he was a son of the late Buist Ray and Alice Grubbs Ray and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Bobby loved to fish, play the guitar and sing; he enjoyed carpenter work and never found a job that he wouldn’t tackle. Bobby was a friend to all that knew him.
Survivors include his sisters, Margie McCormick and Julie Baxley of Barnwell and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters, Irene Sanders and Ida Mae Still; brothers, James, Doc, Blease and Jeff Ray; brothers-in-law, Julius McCormick and Eugene Baxley.
