Clara Ervin, age 99 of York, NE, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at York. She was born July 2, 1918 to Elvenia (Herrick) and Emil Hablitzel in Edison, NE. Clara was united in marriage to Clarence Collingham in Lawrence, KS on April 25, 1934. Later, Clara was married to Glen D. Ervin in Camdenton, MO on December 19, 1985. Clara had previously operated a café in Waco, NE in her younger days and waitressed many other places in York as well. She enjoyed music and dancing and reading mystery books. She was a passionate Chicago Cubs baseball fan.

She is survived by sons Gerald (Mardee) Collingham and Victor (Irene) Collingham; daughters Bessie (Dean) Snyder and Sherry Taylor; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 15 great great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-great- grandchildren; daughter-in-law Linda Collingham. She is also survived by former daughters-in-law Cynthia Collingham and Susan Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sons Donald and Rollan; sisters Beulah and Grace; grandsons Justin and Stanley, son-in-law Dale, and a great great-grandson Jared.

Visitation with Clara’s family will be held from Noon-2:00 pm, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Metz Mortuary. Burial will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO with her husband Glen.
