Popularly known as "Bert" Miller, he had been employed in L. C. Bement's Toggery Shop on East State street as a salesman for 15 years and for five years with Henry Angell. He was well known not only to numerous Ithacans, but to hundreds of Cornell alumni as well. "Bert" was noted for his genial disposition which was uneffected by his long period of ill health.
He leaves his wife; one sister, Mrs. John R. Crawford; two brothers, D. Miller of this city, and Ransford S Miller, U.S. consul at Seoul, Korea. He was a member of Hobasco Lodge, F. and A. M.; St. Augustine Commandery of the Knights' Templar, Tornado Hook and Ladder Company No. 3, and of the Exempt Volunteer Firemen's Association.
