Bessie Baker of Batesville died Friday, April 6, 2018. She was born June 23, 1936 at Desha, Arkansas to Newl Jefferson and Rosa May Fitzhugh Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James "Red" Baker; nine brothers, Herman, Ralph, Harvey, J.D., William, Harlen, Junior, Eugene and Earl Reynolds,and two sisters, Tempe Burrow and Faye Baker.

Survivors include two sons, Dean Baker (Donna) of Batesville and Delbert Baker of Tallahassee, Florida; two daughters, Lesia Lancaster (Mark) of Batesville and Brenda Sutterfield (Mark) of Plainview; brother, Jessie Reynolds (Carolyn) of Batesville; special niece, Virginia Davis of Batesville; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barnes Cemetery in Batesville with Jonathan Baxter officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Cody Franks, Harvey Caldwell, Tim O'Neal, Terry Culp, Will Cooper and Mark Lancaster.

Honorary pallbearer is Jessie Dean Reynolds.
