Florence Mabel Schaur was a daughter of Florence E. (née Armiger) and Charles B. Schaur, born 2 March 1882 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Florence Mabel Schaur and William Zittle were married on 2 March 1899 in Baltimore. The couple became the parents of 12 children.

Hawes, Dorothy Burns, and Pearl Liptrap; also 36 grand-children, 50 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
