David Willard Chipman 1919 ~ 2006

David Willard Chipman, 86, passed away May 5, 2006 in Midvale, Utah. He was born June 8, 1919 in Oxford, Colorado to Willard and Pearl Hamnet Chipman. Married Vera Kirk in Magna, Utah June 12, 1946. She preceded him in death June 22, 2000. He was a charter member of the Jordan Valley Riding Club which was organized in the 1950's and was a member until the club dissolved. He was Grand Marshall for the West Jordan Western Stampede Rodeo, and was Golden Gloves champion in 1946. Won numerous high point riding trophies as well as many others. He was most loved as a husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated friend to many.

Survived by daughter, Kaye (Raymond) Searle; grandchildren, Bryan (Melissa) Searle, Heather Searle, and Rjay Searle; six great-grand-children; sister, Kathryn (David) Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2006, 11 a.m. at the Midvale 2nd Ward chapel, 97 West 7500 South. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Tuesday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
