March 10, 1929 - March 13, 2018

Ardyth R. Exby died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colorado.

She was born March 10, 1929, in Hayes County, Nebraska, to Fred J. Ring and Bessie Bell (Carter) Ring.

Ardyth graduated from Palisade High School and studied education at the University of Wyoming. She taught elementary school in rural Wyoming and later became a substitute teacher following her marriage.

Ardyth married Harry C. Exby Nov. 9, 1952, in Casper, Wyoming, and enjoyed 38 years of marriage before being widowed in 1991. As the wife of an engineer, the family lived in numerous cities throughout the southwest and Puerto Rico. She always made certain the family home was a warm and inviting place for family friends, neighborhood kids and holiday celebrations. Ardyth was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking, especially bread which was often shared with her many friends.

Giving back to the community was important to her and this was achieved through volunteering at Heirlooms Store. Ardyth enjoyed the time she spent with her friends and customers at Heirlooms. She enjoyed reading any genre of book and friends frequently delivered books. Ardyth was a lifelong Bridge player and played in multiple Bridge clubs always enjoying the company of these friends.

Ardyth is survived by her son, Allen (Heather) Exby, Grand Junction, Colorado; daughter, Laurie (David) Stolley, Johnstown, Colorado; grandchildren: Anna Exby; Ian Exby; Samuel Stolley; and Benjamin Stolley; numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart; and friends who she held close.

Ardyth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harry; sister Wilma Browning; Clarence W. Ring; Frances Lyons; and Allen C. Ring.

Memorial services to be held at a later date.
