It is written that she spelled her name 'Carteraut' after coming to
America. She and Valentine are buried in 'Old German Cemetery' in
Funkstown MD. (Funkstown in 1777 was 'Funck's Jerusalem Town.')

York Co PA in 1774. His burial in York Co PA is unknown.
It is written by Kris Hocker that ...
"On 23 Mar 1775, Appolonia Smeltzer appeared at the
(Orphans) Court (of York Co PA) to account for her
administration of her husband's estate. The Court ruled
that the sum of 159 pounds be distributed according to
the terms of the will."
4) Son: Peter died 1795 in Bourbon Co KY ... on FAG.
5) Dau: Anna Ottila (Simon) died 1791 in PA ... on FAG.
