Eva Watkins passed away in San Jose on July 22, 2006, after a short illness. She was 94. Eva was born in Koosharem, Utah, on October 18, 1911, the ninth of eleven children of William Baxter Brown and Amelia Christina Olsen. She moved to San Jose in 1937 when she married Lorenzo Clark Watkins, her adoring husband of more than 50 years. She lived in the Willow Glen area of San Jose until her passing.

Eva is survived by her loving family: sons Wayne and Lynn, grandchildren David, Allison, Natalie, Julie, Amy, Jill and Aaron, and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband and beloved daughter Ann Mortensen.

She was a member of the Honor Roll of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, as a result of her father settling in Utah in 1863 after a voyage from Scotland with his family and a land journey to Utah prior to the railroad.
