A 1945 graduate of Peter's High School, Southborough, he had been employed as a quality control supervisor at the former Dennison Manufacturing Company, Framingham, for many years.
He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Marlborough. He was also an active member of the United Brethren Lodge, Marlborough, a Past Master serving in 1971 as well as the lodge's chaplain for over 18 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Carl Headberg,Jr. of Hudson, MA and Edward Headberg and his wife Jane of Shrewsbury, his daughter, Linda McDonald and her husband William of Pepperell, his sisters, Elna Headberg of Marlborough and Alice Hjulstrom of Medway, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Deborah Meyers and the brother of the late Edward Headberg.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 3, from 5-7 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Highland, St., Berlin, MA.
