ATWELL, BO
30, of West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Born in Warwick, he was the beloved son of Robert J. and Joyce L. (Polubinski) Atwell, Sr.
Besides his beloved parents, he is survived by his devoted, loving sister Ericka J. Atwell of Los Angeles, CA.
He was the grandson of the late Victor and Madeline (Rivers) Polubinski and the late Thomas and Edith (Hill) Atwell, Sr. He is survived by wonderful uncles, amazing aunts and fun- loving cousins.
Bo was a self-employed general contractor as the Owner of Atwell Construction.
He attended URI and was a RIC grad. He had a Bachelors in Biology and a minor in chemistry. He was the Captain of the RIC Anchormen Hockey team and under his leadership they won two back to back New England conference championships. A feat not yet to be repeated. Some of his best days and friendships grew throughout his hockey career. He loved being on the ice.
A La Salle Academy (06') and CJCR alum formed this young man's amazing wealth of life-long, priceless friendships but the neighborhood kids afforded him a foundation of memories and laughter for life. Bo loved to spend time on the water with his dad. He had a Commerical fisherman's license from the age of 9. He learned how to earn money and work hard at a young age. He also learned his father's trade of working with his hands doing all phases of the building trades which made him so proud. His tireless work ethic was a direct reflection of his parents whom he adored, respected and loved beyond measure. His kind heart and gentle soul was nurtured and nourished by his #1, remarkable "mama" whom he absolutely lived for. His humor and his smile were as infectious as his sister's beautiful spirit which he loved so much. Their brother-sister relationship was one for the books. He will be sorely missed by so many. Rest In Peace Bo. Forever number 7. Our beloved Bo.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd. Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, West Warwick. VISITING HOURS will be held on Thursday from 4:00 - 9:00 pm.
