Hallie Elois Veatch, 75, of Enid Court, Georgetown, died Saturday, December 16, 2000 at her residence. Born in Mercer County on April 8, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Claud and Laura Isham Terhune. She was the widow of William D. Veatch, Sr. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lexington and was a retired bookkeeper for Phillip Gall and Son. She was the secretary for the Bluegrass Sportsman League.

Survivors include: two daughters, Judith Speck, Georgetown, and Deedee Kay Bell, Ariton, AL; one son, William D. Veatch Jr., Dallas, TX; one sister, Anne Freeman, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Claud Mitchell Terhune, Harlingen, TX and Loren Thomas Terhune, Lexington; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Private graveside services were held December 18.
