MARY ANN CAMBRE, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Mary was born June 10, 1928, a daughter of the late Herman and Alice (Klug) Berghoff. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church where she volunteered in a variety of outreach activities including visitation to the disabled and elderly and sang in the special funeral choir. She enjoyed reading and made countless rosaries which she gave away as gifts. She was a member of the Rosary Society, Legion of Mary, Homemaker's Club and the Allen County Right to Life. "Mary will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and generosity". Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Max Cambre; children, John, Louis, and Cecile Cambre; sisters, Helen Nix and Carol Coffaro; and countless nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Tony Berghoff, Paul Berghoff, Tom Berghoff, Bernard Berghoff, Gustave Berghoff, Robert Berghoff, and Alice Devine. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 West State Blvd., Fort Wayne, (IN 46808), with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells Street, Fort Wayne, (IN 46808). A Rosary Service will be held on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow service at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Cemetery, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne.
