Addie Kate Avens McDougall age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Watson’s Chapel Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her first husband; James Alvin Avens, second husband; Donald McDougall, son; James Ricky Avens, daughters; Kathy May McElhaney and Debbie Kay McKeehan.
Addie is survived by her daughters and spouses; Cynthia Leonard and Tim, Tammy Buchanan and Kent, sons-in-law; David McKeehan and Bobby McElhaney, all of Sweetwater.
Grandchildren; Shawn and Brandi Lowe, Ryan and Rebekah Wicker, Adam and Deana Wicker, Tabitha Avens, Jamie and Chad Paul, Marco and Lacy McKeehan, Rachael Leonard, Justin Leonard and Stacey Buchanan all of Sweetwater. Seventeen great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law; Bernice and Billy Bibee. Two very special friends; Terri Monroe and Nina Lee.
The family will be receiving friends Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kyker Funeral Homes-Sweetwater. The funeral service will follow in Kyker’s Chapel at 7:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Daughtery and Rev. Tim Gray officiating. Interment service will be Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Sweetwater Memorial Park.
