Benjamin A. Frakes, 95, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017, peacefully with family by his side.
He was born January 24, 1922, in Dekalb, Missouri, son of Iva and Thomas Rube Frakes.
He was married to Eleanor Martin for over 60 years, who proceeded him in death.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and traveling with family.
Survivors include his five children, Deborah Lyon, Mary Green, Benita Fanning, Judy Osterloh and David Frakes; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Cremation entrusted to Cashatt Family Funeral Home.
