T. Tilford Frakes Jr., 85, Faucett, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at his residence.

Mr. Frakes, a retired farmer, was born Dec. 23, 1912, and lived in the De Kalb area all of his life.

He graduated from the De Kalb high school and served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Frakes was a member of the De Kalb Christian Church.

On Feb. 23, 1940, he married Dorothy Saunders in St. Joseph. She survives of the home.

Mr. Frakes was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas T. and Iva Frakes; and two brothers, Calvin and Harold.

Additional survivors: a son, Tom, of the home; a daughters, Sonia Ray, Marshall, MO.; three brothers, Joseph, Atchison, Kan., Robert, Elwood, Kan., and Ben, St. Joseph; six sisters, Elsie Hitt and Laura B. Sampson, both of De Kalb, Ruby Panigot, Clarkston, Wash., Edith Milkler, Raytown, Mo., and Eleanor Boyer and Irma Gill, both of St. Joseph; and six grandchildren.

Memorial Services: Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, Rupp Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Mo.
Mr. Frakes has been cremated.
