Katherine (Krumei) Clements, age 93, was born November 11, 1924 in Columbus, NE to Lena (Blaschke) and Joseph Krumei. She went to school in Columbus, graduating from St. Bonaventure High in 1942.

In 1943, she moved with her parents to Wapato, WA where her mother had relatives. She worked at the Wapato Theaters and several fruit warehouses. While working at Blue Ribbon Growers she met her future husband, Roy Clements. They were married on June 3, 1947 and moved to Yakima in 2000. They had three children, Karen (Gary) Bennett, David (Angela) Clements and Christine Clements. She and Roy enjoyed camping and traveling, and she was an avid reader. She worked for over 16 years as a librarian assistant. Roy passed away June 13, 2007; they had been married 60 years and 10 days.

She is survived by her children, five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations in Katherine’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, in c/o Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with burial following at Reservation Community Memorial Park in Wapato.
